Estimates, with the same method as our backup calculator: battery watt-hours × 0.85 for inverter losses × 0.8, so the battery is never drained flat. “Too small” means that load would empty the battery in under three hours, where a lead-acid battery gives well under its rating. Real backup depends on the battery's age and charge, the inverter and the temperature.

How long will a 150Ah battery run two fans?
About 8 hours for two 75W ceiling fans alone, and about 10 hours with four LED bulbs on as well, through an inverter from a full charge. Real backup depends on the battery's age and charge, the inverter and the temperature.
Which size do I need for my home?
Find your load in the backup table, or add your appliances in the backup calculator. For lights, two fans, a TV and WiFi, a 100Ah battery gives about 4½ hours and a 150Ah about 6½ hours.
Can I charge it with solar panels?
Yes. Solar Tubular batteries are deep-cycle batteries, built to be charged and drained every day. Connect the panels through a solar charge controller or a solar hybrid inverter set for lead-acid (tubular or flooded) batteries.
Will it work with my inverter?
In most cases, yes. They are standard 12V lead-acid batteries. Check your inverter's battery voltage (12V, 24V or 48V) and its charging settings, or ask us.
Does it need distilled water?
If your battery has top-up caps, check the level every month or two and top up with distilled water to the MAX line. Never use tap water or acid.
What does "12V-55Ah @ C10" on the label mean?
The battery delivers 55 amp-hours when it is drained evenly over 10 hours, the C10 rate, which is how inverter and solar batteries are rated. Drain it faster and you get less.
